Turkey now supported from Hungerford

ADP Automotive Support UK has opened up its new Turkey Frontline operation based in Hungerford. The new bilingual support team is working closely with the International Backline team to deliver a support service to approximately 600 users in the Turkish Mercedes-Benz dealer network. ADP Services successfully migrated the systems over to an ADP hosted server in May.
New product presentation and user workshop held in Dublin

Two major customer events have been held in the Dublin offices. The first of these was to present the latest developments of the Autoline IMS product – including its new web-based facilities. This was followed by a workshop covering the Autoline Management Information tools.
Dealer Services Japan – a new name and a new office

Following the acquisition of AutoGSP, the previous joint venture company operating in Japan, is now ADP Dealer Services Japan Co., Ltd. The DS Japan team of associates, led by General Manager Jae Hong Ahn, recently moved into new offices in Tokyo.
Virtual attendance at the Madrid Motor show

EVA user day in the Netherlands

ADP DS Netherlands has held an EVA user day. The event was a good opportunity to show customers our new premises in Hardinxveld. The event was used to highlight the new functionality in the latest version of EVA and to introduce the ASP and Print Plan solutions.
New general manager in the Netherlands

On 1st May, Christiaan Meerman took over the role of Commercial Systems general manager in the Netherlands. Chris first started with the company as a translator in 2001 and has been with the Dutch Commercial Systems operation since its infancy, building on his application knowledge and expertise through a variety of roles.
ADP DS Portugal attends ‘Auto Professional 2008’ event

Automotive Dealer Day in Verona

ADP DS Italy attended the annual Automotive Dealer Day held in Verona on 21st- 22nd May. This combined exhibition and conference is the year’s most important event for the Italian retail automotive industry.
New UK general manager

Simon Wardle has been appointed as UK general manager (Automotive). Simon joined ADP as marketing director UK and,Ireland in 2006. He has over 17 years of marketing, sales and commercial experience in the IT, telecoms and retail, sectors. More recently, Simon has been managing the marketing operations and services teams for Europe and South Africa.
ADP business continuity management in UK

ADP DSI has implemented a new Business Continuity Management programme. The objective of this is to support customer requirements with a ‘fit for purpose’ resilient solution. A recent survey conducted by the British Standards Institute identified that 46% of businesses are required by customers to demonstrate they have business continuity measures in place.
New management appointments in Mexico

We welcome Israel de los Reyes – general manager and Miguel Angel Garcia Cruz – sales manager who both joined ADP on March 25th. Israel de los Reyes previously worked for Reynolds and Reynolds/UCS as General Manager for Mexico and Miguel Angel Garcia Cruz previously worked for TotalDealer as Sales Manager for Mexico. We wish them both every success.
Hosting hits important milestone

ADP now hosts more than 25,000 users in the DSI data centres in Hungerford, Bristol, Vejle, Lisbon and Johannesburg. The growth in this area of the business confirms the trend that an increasing number of customers recognise the benefits of remotely hosted systems which offer high availability and built-in disaster recovery. In addition, the low initial capital investment required and known fixed monthly costs give our customers greater control of their IT costs and associated cash flow.
Autoline users win major awards

For the 5th year running ADP sponsored the ‘Retailer of the year’ award at the AM Awards, which was won by our customer Lifestyle Ford, who also won the award for Retail group - up to 10 sites.
It was fantastic to see 6 other ADP customers being recognised - Sytner Retail group (more than 10 sites and employer of the year, Perrys Barnsley, (dealership - more than £12m turnover), Colin Appleyard (dealership up to £12m turnover), T C Harrison (user car retailer) and finally Sandicliffe Motor Group with 3 awards (excellence in customer service, marketing and environmental policy).
UK Hosts ‘Web Workshop’

ADP hosted a major auto retail ‘Web Workshop’ in April. Senior executives and marketing managers from many of the UK’s leading dealer groups were in attendance. The ‘Web Workshop’, organised by Auto Retail Network, included discussion seminars and hands-on tutorial sessions with leading auto retail Internet experts.
NADA 2008 – San Francisco

ADP attended the 2008 NADA in San Francisco. Delegates from no fewer than 15 different countries visited the ADP stand. “There are a growing number of international dealers and manufacturers attending from around the world. This is great news, as it is an indication that our global presence is quickly becoming well known and the plan is to extend the space devoted to the DSI business for NADA in 2009.” Steve Anenen, President, ADP Dealer Services.
Mercedes-Benz Services Convention in France

ADP was invited by Mercedes-Benz to attend the first of two regional events where they present innovations specifically focussed in after sales. ADP presented the latest Autoline interfaces, including a ‘remote’ tablet PC application which enables workshop jobs to be created ‘off line’ for transfer to Autoline.
GM Exchange Platform for Autoline in Spain

Opel have endorsed the GM Exchange platform integration to Autoline, which will replace the old DCS2 system. The migration to this new Opel communications system is currently being piloted.
PSA Finance module in CONTACT in the Netherlands

ADP has deployed an additional module to the Peugeot CONTACT customer base. This new module will allow Peugeot dealers to immediately integrate all relevant PSA finance information into their sales quotations. This integration will help PSA Finance improve their success rate in the highly competitive financing market.

Every year the Citroën Dealer Association holds a national assembly and this year's event took place in Tenerife. ADP sponsored the event and ADP DS Spain took advantage of this great opportunity to present the Aswin project for Citroën.

In December, ADP Dealer Services Germany held two Open House events. The format of the Open House events is based on a number of workshops running during the day which customers were able to participate in according to their specific areas of interest.
EVA Innovation in Belgium

ADP Belgium has developed an interface between EVA and government-certified electronic identity card readers. By introducing a customers’ e-ID card in the reader at the reception, all the relevant customer information is automatically loaded in EVA without manual entry.
This reader will also be used by the dealer as a secure digital authentication and signature method when transmitting certain official documents to the Belgian authorities, e.g. VAT reports. ADP is the first DMS supplier to have introduced this functionality.
SIMI* National Conference 2007

ADP Dealer Services Ireland exhibited at this year’s SIMI National Convention and Franchise Dealer Conference which was held in the Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny. The event was held over a two day period with many industry speakers and workshop sessions.
ADP Services now a Red Hat ‘Runtime Partner’

Red Hat is one of the world's leading providers of Linux and ‘open source’ technology (i.e. available to all users). ADP has a number of engineers who hold the appropriate Red Hat Certifications and the company has now met the necessary criteria to join the Red Hat Runtime Partner programme.
The programme provides ADP with additional pre-sales and development resources to support our products and will help to drive further sales and marketing opportunities for the company.
Renault conference in Germany

ADP Dealer Services Germany attended the VDRH conference (association of German Renault dealers) that took place in Berlin in November. The event was attended by more than 400 dealers. ADP informed dealers about the latest DRACAR+ features for Renault dealers and to provide information about the latest release.
ADP plan for new accounting rules in Spain

From January 2008, new accounting rules will be applied to all Spanish companies and ADP Dealer Services Spain has implemented a plan, which will include a series of workshops, to ensure that all of our customers are prepared for these changes.
Fast-Fit interface launched in UK

ADP Dealer Services UK has launched a Fast-Fit interface which enables workshops to use menu pricing for work such as tyres, exhausts, batteries, MOTs and services as opposed to the customer being charged by the workshop at an hourly rate. The clear menu pricing and while-you-wait service offered by Fast-Fit outlets is attractive to customers who perceive dealerships’ service departments to be more expensive. This tool is targeted to customers who want to develop customer retention initiatives.
Web-based portal for IMS

The ADP IMS division have developed a web-based portal for dealers who are connected to Autoline IMS. Dealers are now able to access the system over the Internet to place and track vehicle orders, parts availability, parts orders and warranty claim processing.
The web-based portal uses Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) to deliver Autoline business functionality over the Internet and uses AJAX (Asynchronous Java and XML) to create a functionally-rich, interactive user experience. This interface will allow real-time enquiries and processing within Autoline, similar in functionality to direct client access.
ADP receives accreditation from Nortel

Being a Nortel SMB partner and involved with the Accelerate Partner Programme, ADP Services has been recognised for expertise and proficiency within the field of telephony and convergence and have access to a full range of voice and mobility solutions offered by Nortel.
Successful workshop planning event in Denmark

ADP has held 4 workshop planning events in Denmark. The events included a demonstration of Workshop Planning for DRACAR+ and Optima 21 and customers were also shown a video with a customer discussing their experience with the product (the video can be seen on the Danish website: http://www.adpdsi.dk/dk/Video/).

As an indication of ADP’s strong relationship with Bull, ADP are pleased to announce the extension of their Bull Gold Partner status. Notably, the company is the only Bull Authorised Maintainer (BAM) in Europe.
ADP has extensive IT integration resources and with Bull’s in-depth knowledge of storage technologies, customers are offered robust storage management systems, disaster recovery and back-up solutions. ADP has worked in partnership with Bull for many years to offer customers expertise in the modernisation of infrastructure as well as performance and reliability of upgrading of systems using open and secure technologies.
Equip Auto in Paris

ADP exhibited at Equip Auto, which was held the Parc d’Expositions on the 15-20th October. This is a biennial event for the automotive industry with suppliers representing every product and service imaginable except for vehicles themselves. At the show, the ADP team presented Autoline, ADP Exchange, along with other products and services in the company’s portfolio.
New Distributor acquisition

ADP Dealer Services has acquired AutoGSP Systems - the distributor for China, Japan, Korea and Mexico. This acquisition supports ADP’s strategy of expanding its direct presence in key world markets and AutoGSP operations will become part of ADP Dealer Services International.
Belgium Training Certification

Following externally assessments, ADP Belgium has officially received its Q-for certificate. ADP Belgium is now officially recognised by the government of the Dutch-speaking community in Belgium as a training centre. It allows customers to attend courses partially funded by the government.

New office in Spain
