McKinnon of Wallington - Why chose Autoline?

McKinnon Of Wallington are a Peugeot dealer based in Surrey; Autoline was installed in July 2002. We caught up with David Gathergood, accountant at the dealership, to ask him why they chose the Autoline system.

"Before installing Autoline we had lost control of certain aspects of our business. We looked around for an alternative solution and decided to install the Autoline dealer management.

Kerridge appealed to us as they have over a quarter of a century of experience in the motor trade. The majority of customer-facing Kerridge staff had previously been working in the industry, so they had the experience of how a dealership worked and what issues we have to encounter on a daily basis. In conjunction with this, Kerridge could provide us with the backup and support that is needed for a successful installation.

Before the Autoline system was installed, the staff felt an awful lot of apprehension, but after talking to other dealers that use Autoline and the quality of the service that Kerridge provided for us, this soon disappeared. From the sales executive, technical manager, project manager, the trainers and the consultants that came to install the system, the support that they all provided by Kerridge was excellent and professional. All the Kerridge personnel that we encountered were friendly in their approach, with questions answered quickly. From the beginning to end, the whole operation was professional. All the staff agree that we now have a system that gives us what we want in very simple terms and allows us to run an efficient business.

At the project planning stage, we estimated that the system would give us a return on our investment after 12 months, but having run the system now for a few months this prediction has been changed. Autoline is on target to be paying for itself within 6 months of installation. I am very happy to sing the praises of Kerridge to other dealers and have certainly been telling Peugeot that Autoline is an excellent dealer management system. If you tried to take out our Autoline system now I'm sure that you would not get out in one piece!"
